Indian Super League franchise Mumbai City FC have announced the signing of Brazilian attacking midfielder Thiago Santos for ISL – Season 4.
22 year old Mari-born Thiago Nascimento dos Santos has come through the youth set-up of Brazilian club giants CR Flamengo of Rio de Janeiro. At the club he made his professional debut in the 2015 Brazilian season.
Thiago Santos has joined Mumbai City FC on a season long loan deal from CR Flamengo with the player and both clubs hoping that he makes his breakthrough after having had some substitute appearances at Flamengo and mainly playing for the Flamengo ‘B’ team over the last two years, where he had won the 2015 U-20 Rio de Janeiro league.
Also to note is that talented Thiago Santos suffered an ACL injury earlier this year, which kept him off the field for the first half of the year.
