Mumbai City FC sign defender Mato Grgic from NorthEast United FC!

Indian Super League franchise Mumbai City FC have signed defender Croatian Mato Grgic from NorthEast United FC for the 2019/20 season.

31 year old Kotor Varos-born Mato Grgic started his youth football with NK Kutjevo before moving on to play for Hrvatski Dragovoljac, where he also made his senior debut in 2006. He spend five seasons with them at senior level with a loan spell at NK Rudes.

He then went on to play for Slaven Belupo before joining Hungarian side MTK Budapest before returning to play for Inter Zapresic in Croatia.

Last season, Mato Grgic had joined NorthEast United FC and he made a strong presence in their backline. He made 19 appearances in the Highlanders first-ever ISL semifinal playoff appearance.
