Myanmar FF receives AFC Grassroots Charter Bronze membership!

Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) has been awarded the AFC Grassroots Charter Bronze membership for its commitment and investment in grassroots football development.

The Grassroots Charter is a development tool for Member Associations to raise the quality of their grassroots programmes.

It identifies 20 performance categories, such as grassroots competitions, fairplay, partnerships and personal development, which have all been met by MFF.

MFF has a comprehensive calendar of grassroots activities ranging from U-12 to U-19 leagues, Women’s leagues, AFC Grassroots Football Day, AFC Women’s Football Day events and social programmes.

On being a progressive association, which is striving for excellence, MFF has a well-established Grassroots Plan 2019-2022, clearly explaining the objectives, major tasks, timeline and responsible personnels, in line with the MFF’s Football Strategic Plan.

One of the main pillars in the Strategic Plan is Grassroots Football and MFF has placed importance on continuing the existing projects, activities and programmes which will provide a wide range of football and coaching opportunities for boys and girls, from adolescents to adults.

Other important initiatives over the duration of the programme include organising football campaigns linked to MFF National and Township Football Association events, introducing a grassroots manager/officer for its national leagues and to establish a regular regional competition for U-8s to U-12s (boys, girls and mixed) under their “FUN & FORMATION” tagline. MFF has also placed a special emphasis on the Respect Code of Conduct for match officials, players, spectators, parents, coaches, and team managers to promote high standards of behaviour in the game.
