Denied a famous victory deep into stoppage time in their AFC Champions League 2023/24 opener, Uzbekistan’s Navabahor will be determined to take three points when they host India’s Mumbai City in a Group D tie on Tuesday, October 3.
Mumbai City will be equally driven having kicked off their campaign with a defeat against Nassaji Mazandaran of Iran.
Navbahor looked to have sealed the points as they led Al Hilal SFC of Saudi Arabia two weeks ago.
An equaliser in the 10th minute of second half added time, however, saw two-time AFC Champions League winners Al Hilal salvaging a 1-1 draw in Brazilian Neymar’s debut.
Mumbai City had to endure a tougher opening day as they fell 2-0 to Nassaji Mazandaran.
Having impressed in their continental debut last season, the Indian side will be desperate to deliver against Navbahor.
