New Balance announces landmark sponsorship deal with FC Porto to become Global Partner!

New Balance has today announced a landmark global sponsorship deal with European footballing giant FC Porto, cementing its partnership with one of the most the sport’s most prestigious clubs that takes the relationship beyond 10 years.

Coinciding with the 130th anniversary of FC Porto, the new deal sees FC Porto move from European Partner to Global Partner. The agreement reinforces New Balance’s commitment to supporting FC Porto’s youth set up, with the renaming of the location where FC Porto and Dragon Force teams train and compete from Campo da Constituição to ‘New Balance Park’ set to take place in early 2024.

FC Porto fan favorite Toni Martínez will continue to be a Team New Balance Athlete having been with the brand for several years, whilst in addition New Balance will sign some of the club’s brightest young talents, providing support on and off the pitch as they continue their journey towards the first teams.

FC Porto first signed with New Balance in 2014 and the partnership has gone on to become one of the longest in New Balance’s 117-year history. One of Europe’s most decorated clubs, FC Porto has claimed 84 honours in its history, with major highlights including: 30 Primeira Liga titles, 2 UEFA Champions League and 2 UEFA Europa League victories. Since the start of the relationship with New Balance, FC Porto has claimed 10 of those honours as the club continues to thrive both domestically and in Europe.

The move signifies New Balance’s commitment to long-term partners that align with its ethos and aim to challenge the status quo.
