New Balance Football has announced 22-year-old Jordyn Huitema, sensational forward for the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and the Canadian Women’s National Team, as the latest athlete to join the brand’s growing roster of athletes.
Jordyn is an inspiration for younger athletes and is an example of how athletes continue to transcend the boundaries of their sport and express themselves on and off the field of play. Jordyn joining the New Balance family of athletes is another illustration of the brand fostering the next generation of female talent, including Coco Gauff, Cameron Brink, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and others.
Upon signing, Jordyn shared, “New Balance has built such a strong foundation of talent, and I’m honored to join the brand’s incredible roster of athletes. Jordyn plays at an electric pace, with the ability to control the ball and with an expert eye in front of the goal. She made her national team debut at age 15 and scored her first international goal at 16, quickly grabbing headlines as a future star. Jordyn’s leadership on the pitch played a critical role for team Canada in the 2020 Summer Olympics. She scored the only goal against Costa Rica in the qualifier, which secured Canada’s ticket to Tokyo, where the team took home gold. And now with New Balance, she is eager to make a bigger splash through both sport and culture.
