New FA of Malaysia president visits AFC House in Kuala Lumpur!

Dato’ Hamidin Mohammed Amin, the newly elected President of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), met with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) General Secretary Dato’ Windsor John at the AFC House on Tuesday, July 31 to discuss football development in Malaysia.

Dato’ Hamidin was accompanied by FAM Vice-President Dato’ Sri Subahan Kamal and newly appointed FAM General Secretary Stuart Michael Ramalingam at the meeting in which he outlined to Dato’ Windsor John and AFC Directors the FAM’s commitment to work closely with the AFC.

Dato’ Windsor John told Dato’ Hamidin, “We are happy to welcome the FAM delegation to AFC House, the home of Asian football.”

“Not only because of the AFC being located in Malaysia, FAM is an important Member Association of the AFC and has been a member since 1954 and we look forward to working with FAM and assisting in the future development of the game in the country.”

Dato’ Windsor added that the AFC has been encouraged by the positivity and enthusiasm Malaysian football is witnessing after the election of Dato’ Hamidin at the helm of FAM.

The AFC General Secretary also debriefed the FAM delegation on several development initiatives that AFC is providing to its Member Associations to develop football in their countries.

The FAM President thanked the AFC for their support and added, “We are ready to take Malaysian football to the next level and for that we need active support of the AFC and I am sure the relationship between the AFC and FAM will further enhance in coming days.”
