German Bundesliga 2 side FC Schalke 04 have dropped a new third Jersey by UMBRO for the 2021/22 season to honour the club’s original colours.
Founded in 1904, Schalke wore the colours of red and yellow until 1913. Later that year, it was decided to change the club’s colours to the famous royal blue and white.
To honour the original kit, the 2021/22 third jersey is styled in deep red. It features a stylised neckline with a placket on the front. Further details include an embroidered S04 crest in full colour and double diamond logo in white. The trims have been popped in yellow.
A special sign-off featuring ‘In unseren Farben von 1904′ has also been added to the back of the neck.
The new third kit will be worn for the first time on Saturday, September 25.
