Indian Super League franchise NorthEast United FC have announced the signing of defender Nim Dorjee Tamang from FC Pune City.
23 year old Melli-born Nim Dorjee Tamang started playing football in the Air Force Academy before joining the Shillong Lajong FC Academy.
Nim Dorjee Tamang moved from the Academy to the first team and was a regular for the Shillong Lajong FC senior side in the I-League over a three year period.
Nim Dorjee Tamang left Lajong FC to join ISL side FC Pune City in 2017 and has spend the last couple of seasons with them with limited playing time.
On signing for NorthEast United FC, Nim Dorjee Tamang said, “I am extremely delighted to be a part of NorthEast United FC family. It’s a great honour for me to have this opportunity and to play for this wonderful team. This season, I am looking forward to play to the best of my ability and meet expectatons that have been set for me.”
