Indian Super League franchise NorthEast United FC today announced the signing of teenagers Jerry Mawihmingthanga and Lallianzuala Chhangte (Zuala) from Liverpool International Football Academy – DSK Shivajians FC for the ISL – Season 3.
The duo of Jerry and Zuala are amongst the most brightest young talent in Indian football at the moment with Zuala already having made his full international debut for the senior Indian national football team in the 2015/16 SAFF Cup, even scoring on his debut.
For NorthEast United the signing of the Mizoram duo it means quality youngsters joining them, who will have to prove themselves in the tough environment of the Indian Super League.
“I am elated to have Jerry and Zuala on board ahead of the Indian Super League. I have closely followed their game in the previous editions and have tremendous respect for their skills. I extend a hearty welcome to both Jerry and Zuala and wish good luck to all our team members,” NorthEast United owner John Abraham said.
