Coaches from around the world will be given a unique opportunity to connect and learn from some of the world’s best football leaders at the inaugural online OFC Coaches Conference 2022.
The one-day event hosted by Great Big Events will take place on Sunday, October 2 from 11.00am-5.00pm NZT.
A menu of presentations, including practical coaching session deliveries will be provided for participants, where they are able to listen, reflect and refine their own coaching practices.
The topics include Youth Player Development, Lessons on Leadership, Integration of outfield players in Goalkeeping Coaching and Physical Preparation of Female Players.
Additionally, coaches will gain access to OFC Learn, an online platform that offers different educational resources such as online courses, webinars, a library of articles and community groups.
A diverse range of speakers with a wealth of knowledge and experiences have been confirmed which include FIFA Chief of Global Football Development Arsene Wenger.
Prior to his current role, Wenger was the Arsenal Manager from 1996-2018 where he was the longest-serving and most successful in the club’s history, holding the record for the most Premier League matches managed.
Canada national women’s head coach Beverly Priestman will also feature in the event.
Priestman was appointed as head coach in 2021 and led her side to win gold at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 and most recently qualify for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
