The Football Association of Odisha (FAO) on Sunday, March 8 celebrated the AFC Women’s Football Day at the Ravenshaw University Ground in Cuttack.
A Women’s Football exhibition match was organised to mark this occasion with SAI STC Women’s Football Team taking on Bidansi Women’s Football team on Sunday afternoon. SAI STC won this match by a lone goal.
Prof. Dr Pritirekha Das Patnaik (Professor of Applied Geogarphy, Ravenshaw University) and Basanti Soren (champions Athlete of Ravenshaw University) were present while other guests at the program were Asirbad Behera (Honorary Secretary, FAO), Sangeeta Sharma (Joint Secretary, FAO), Gitanjali Khuntia and Lochona Munda (former International Footballers), Mohammed Shahid Jabbar (Joint Secretary, FAO), Sheikh Yunus (Member, FAO), Sahadev Rout (Member, FAO), Surjit Ghosh (Member, FAO), Srikant Sahoo (Centre in Charge, SAI- STC, Cuttack), Banishree Chintak (PET, Stewart School), and Anjan Kumar Khuntia(Member, FAO).
