Odisha FC appoints Dr. Amrit Pattojoshi as Wellness Mentor!

Dr. Amrit Pattojoshi is a top-caliber influential psychiatrist in the country with proven more than 20 years of experience in mental health. A successful individual that possesses substantial skills in treating mentally ill and disturbed patients with profound interpersonal skills to interact and communicate with various patients.

He has coordinated with other health workers, psychologists, psychiatric nurses, and psychiatric social workers to diagnose and treat patients with retardation and disturbed behavior. He directs a research team and also conducts his own research in facilitating and developing new technologies and methodologies for patient care.

Dr. Amrit is currently working as a Professor in Dept of Psychiatry, at Hi-Tech Medical College and hospital, Bhubaneswar. He is also a visiting Consultant at AMRI hospital, SPARSH hospital, and KAR hospital. Apart from this, he holds the position of President of IPS – Odisha State Branch, Secretary in IPS – East Zone, EC in charge of the LGBT task force IPS and EC member in IPS.

During the COVID period, he has been running a suicide helpline nationwide as well as providing free medical help to many poor people in villages during camps.

In his achievements, he holds about 50 publications in national and International journals, and 5 chapters in various textbooks of Psychiatry. He has spoken at International conferences and takes guest lectures at universities. He is also a TEDx speaker on numerous topics of Mental health. Attended many seminars as Chief Guest and Chairperson.

After completing of M.B.B.S from S.C.B medical college and hospital, he studied DPM, MD – Psychiatry from the prestigious Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi. He is a recipient of the Best Psychiatrist award in East Zone and in Odisha.

In his free time, he enjoys participating in different sports activities and holds a special place for football.
