Having won four consecutive games in a row, Odisha FC will face Sethu FC in its last group stage game. In the quarterfinals, both teams have already qualified; however, they will aim to maintain their winning momentum. They will face off on Saturday, May 13 to determine the Indian Women’s League Group B winners, and TransStadia in Ahmedabad will host the match which will kick off at 4:30pm IST.
Sethu FC has been the standout team in the group, having five victories out of seven matches and a sole draw against Kickstart FC in their previous game. They will be aiming to continue their unbeaten run and finish as group winners.
The Juggernauts are currently just one point below the table topper with 15 points, having secured five victories and experiencing a sole defeat, and will be keen to claim the top spot by winning the match.
Both teams have talented players in their squads, and the match promises to be an exciting encounter with plenty of action and drama on the field. Crispin Chettri speaking to the media on the eve of the game, “Sethu FC must be the youngest team in this edition of the IWL. But we want to go to the knockout stages with winning momentum. We aim to rotate a few players in the starting eleven to determine the best eleven before our knockout games.”
