The Odisha FC Women’s team have announced the signing of India Women’s international team captain Bala Devi ahead of the upcoming Indian Women’s League campaign.
The 33 year old Manipur-born Ngangom Bala Devi has been one of the youngest India Women’s senior international, when in 2005 she made her debut.
Early on in her career, Bala Devi played in Manipur.
Bala Devi then went to play for New Radiant SC in Maldives in 2015. Thereafter she played for Manipur Police, Eastern Sporting Union, KRYPHSA before returning to Manipur Police.
In 2020, Bala Devi became the first Indian female footballer to sign for a European club by signing for Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers WFC and she spend a season with them before returning to India due to a serious injury.
She returned to action for her old side Manipur Police before now signing for Odisha FC.
