Odisha FC, in collaboration with Pro Sport Development (PSD), started the Junior Juggernauts League (JJL), involving young kids to play in a Baby league system in three categories, viz, Under-9, U-10 and U-12. The JJL is set to run until the final week of May, with the next round of matches scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 16.
The objective of the League is to provide kids under the age of 13 the opportunity to play football and develop their skills in a competitive and engaging environment. The inaugural Matchday was on April 9 and witnessed the participation of 16 teams across the three age categories. The U-9 and U-10 categories played their matches in a 5v5 format, while the U-12 category played 7v7.
In a bid to promote grassroots development of football in the local community, Odisha FC has joined hands with Pro Sport Development (PSD) to focus on and enhance its grassroots programming efforts. The League promises to be exciting and engaging for the young participants in a safe and encouraging environment provided by experienced coaches and referees, for the players to develop their skills and passion for football.
