Odisha FC travel to face Mumbai City FC in ISL-9!

After an emphatic comeback against Jamshedpur FC, Odisha FC head to Mumbai for their second away game of the season. Diego Mauricio and Isaac Vanmalsawma were showstoppers against the Red Miners and will hope to replicate a similar performance against the Islanders.

Mumbai City FC will play their first home game against the Juggernauts at the Mumbai Football Arena in over two years. This is Des Buckingham’s second season in charge of the Islanders. There were several incomings for Mumbai City FC this transfer window with the likes of Greg Stewart, Bhaskar Roy, Rostyn Griffiths, Alberto Noguera and Jorge Pereyra Diaz making permanent moves to the club.

The Islanders impressed in the AFC Champions League campaign picking up two wins and finishing in the second position in the group which was the best performance by an Indian club side in the competition. Mumbai City FC also reached the Durand Cup final where they narrowly lost to Bengaluru FC.

Defending champions Hyderabad FC and Mumbai City FC took a point each as both sides kicked their Indian Super League (ISL) campaign off with an enthralling 3-3 draw at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune.

But Odisha FC under Josep Gombau will be no pushovers, so an exciting contest on the cards.

The match will kick off at the Mumbai Football Arena at 7.30pm.
