Odisha FC’s Amrinder Singh reacts to India’s Tri-Nation triumph!

The Indian Football Team beat Kyrgyz Republic 2-0 to be crowned as the Tri-National International Tournament champions after successfully maintaining an all-win record.

Odisha FC custodian Amrinder Singh was called for National Team duty after the club’s ISL campaign ended. Indian National Team head coach Igor Stimac named Amrinder in the starting eleven against Myanmar.

The boys in blue secured a hard-fought victory with Anirudh Thapa and Amrinder Singh rising to the occasion and contributing to both sides of the pitch. India also managed to keep two clean sheets one for both the custodians (Amrinder Singh and Gurpreet Singh Sandhu) throughout the tournament.

Amrinder Singh and Gurpreet Singh Sandhu shared the ‘Best Goalkeeper’ of the tournament award.

A day later when everything settled down, Amrinder reacted to the win in a post on Instagram. This is what he had to say,

“The Tri-Nation Tournament victory with the Indian National Team is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved. Lifting the trophy with my teammates was an incredible moment, and I am grateful to the fans in Imphal who helped us make it happen.”

Amrinder has rejoined the Odisha FC squad in Bhubaneswar as the club continues preparations for the Super Cup.
