Odisha FC’s Super Cup debut explained!

The Super Cup will commence on April 8 and Odisha FC has been drawn in Group B alongside Hyderabad FC, East Bengal FC, and the winners of the third qualifier.

This year’s edition of the Super Cup is being hosted by Kerala. Manjeri and Kozhikode are the two main venues where the teams will play their respective group-stage matches.

The final group-stage match is on April 19 where Odisha FC will see four teams in action in Manjeri. The semifinals and finals are scheduled to take place between April 21 to 25.

The Eastern Dragons will kick off their maiden Super Cup campaign against East Bengal FC in Manjeri on April 9. Hyderabad FC will also be in action the very same day against the winners of the third qualifier.

The third qualifier game is on April 6 at 5pm IST between TRAU FC and Aizawl FC. The winning team will progress to the group stage and play against the rest in Group B.

Clifford Miranda has taken charge of the first team as Odisha FC will look to make their Super Cup debut one to remember. Santosh Kashyap was roped in by the club as the First Team Assistant Coach.

The experienced Indian tactician will work along with Clifford and the backroom staff to prepare the team well ahead of the tournament. The club also announced the contract extension of talented midfielder Paul Ramfangzauva on its social media handles a few weeks back.

Amrinder Singh has re-joined the squad in Bhubaneswar and started training after his successful outing with the Indian National Team.

The games will be telecasted live on Sony Sports Ten 2 & Sony Sports Ten 2 HD and live-streamed on FanCode.
