The Football Association of Odisha (FAO) in association with the Sports & Y.S. Department of the Government of Odisha had organised the Inter District Club Championship which was played between 27 teams of different districts of Odisha, this Championship was solely organised in order to select and scout the best possible talents for the upcoming 2021/22 Santosh Trophy which is going to be held at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
In the Santosh Trophy – East Zone qualifiers, Odisha will face following opponents:
1-December-2021: Odisha Vs Bihar
3-December-2021: Bihar Vs Jharkhand
5-December-2021: Odisha Vs Jharkhand
kick off time for all matches 2:30pm.
A total of 48 players were selected in order to attend the preparatory cum trial camp jointly organised by the Football Association of Odisha & the Sports & Y.S. Department of the Government of Odisha. The camp will go on for more than one and half months to groom the players to show their potential.
In order to make the players match ready the Odisha team will play three practice matches, all the matches will be played at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

An AFC ‘A’ licensed Coach in Salim Pathan had been appointed as the head coach of the Odisha Senior National Men’s team, he has been a part of Indian Super League as the Assistant Coach of Chennaiyan FC and also in many other state teams and clubs.
