The Football Association of Odisha (FAO) has successfully conducted the scouting process for the FAO Academy Team’s on April 8/9, 2023.
The FAO Academy trials were held for Under-13, U-15 and U-18 age groups at the Satyabrata Stadium in Cuttack.
The trials were held to find players to represent the FAO Academy in the AIFF Youth Leagues.
A total of 540 players across the three different age group categories turned up to be a part of this scouting process out of which 50 players from U-13, 155 players from U-15, and 168 players from U-17 were provisionally selected for the FAO Academy Team. Further trials will take place in due course of time.
Mohammed Shahid Jabbar (Joint Secretary, FAO) and Biswa Ranjan Gharei (Joint Secretary, FAO) looked after the whole scouting process. Surjit Ghosh (Technical Director, FAO) spearheaded the scouting team, other scouters present were Prabal Das, Sambit Nanda, Nipendra Das, Sheikh Manjoor, Santosh Das, Sheikh Salim, Kabula Behera, Sheikh Azad, and Ashok Das, who all are ex-national level footballers from Odisha.
