OFC Women’s Nations Cup 2022 – Everything you need to know!

Nine teams will compete in the upcoming OFC Women’s Nations Cup 2022 to be played from July 13 to 30 in Suva, Fiji.

In Group A, Polynesian rivals Tonga, Cook Islands and Samoa will face off. Group B will see highest-ranked nation Papua New Guinea aim to fend off the challenge of Tahiti and Vanuatu while, in Group C, hosts Fiji will take on New Caledonia and the Solomon Islands.

The winners will advance to the inter-confederation play-offs with a chance to qualify for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia & New Zealand.

Reigning champions New Zealand are therefore not taking part, having already qualified for the FIFA World Cup as co-hosts. This year’s OFC Women’s Nations Cup is therefore guaranteed to have first-time winners.
