Portuguese FF confirmed as Soccerex Europe title partner!

Soccerex have announced the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) as Title Partner for Soccerex Europe on September 5-6 in Oeiras.

Soccerex will work closely with the Portuguese Football Federation in the preparation and production of the event, using its extensive network and experience to help coordinate the conference programme and put the Portuguese football community in touch with its international peers.

The Portuguese Football Federation – worldwide, one of the most progressive bodies governing football – organise competitions throughout the country and is responsible for the men’s and women’s teams. Known for its innovative approach, Portugal has achieved a remarkable international success – which is even more significant considering the size of the country compared to other world football powers. In 2016, the year in which the men’s national team lifted the European trophy for the first time, the FPF inaugurated the Cidade do Futebol (Football City) training complex in Oeiras, which not only serves as the headquarters of the Federation, but also hosts all the sporting and administrative activities of the European and Nations League Champions. The FPF will launch a new television channel, “11”, later this year. It is estimated to be available in four million homes across Portugal, bringing the nation’s football activity to the whole country.

The FPF, as Title Partner of Soccerex Europe, will collaborate on the programme and help define the conference concepts, using the knowledge and experience gained with the organisation of Football Talks, which were attended by figures such as Gianni Infantino, Aleksander Ceferin and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

FPF CEO, Tiago Craveiro, will share his ideas as part of an extensive Soccerex Europe programme focusing on the future of football across the continent.

The FPF’s collaboration with Soccerex will facilitate the participation of the Portuguese football community, allowing participants to benefit from various contacts and numerous business opportunities in this important international event, thus stimulating the growth of the football industry in the country.

Referring to the partnership with the FPF, the Managing Director of Soccerex, Philip Gegan, said: “It is a privilege for us to have the Portuguese Football Federation as the Title Partner of our event. Under the leadership of Fernando Gomes, the FPF has become synonymous with innovation and success, notably with their historic triumphs in the 2016 Euros, which were replicated by the u-17 and u-19 teams in their respective classes, the inaugural Nations League and with Beach Soccer and Futsal teams which have conquered Europe. Having these qualities associated with Soccerex and being able to count on their support in the development of the event will only benefit the experience of participants, both Portuguese and from the wider football community.”

Soccerex Europe, hosted by the Municipality of Oeiras, with the Portuguese Football Federation as its official Title Partner and with the support of the Liga Portugal, is the latest edition of the company’s portfolio. Over two days, more than 1500 participants will have a great variety of structured and informal opportunities to establish contact with delegates from all over the world, along with a series of conferences with international experts on various topics, such as technology and innovation, the involvement of the modern football fan, the management of club revenues, television broadcasting and new media, the rise of women’s football and much more, always with attention focused on the future of the beautiful game.
