Punjab FC forced to host Mohun Bagan & East Bengal in New Delhi without fans!

Indian Super League debutants Punjab FC have informed that their upcoming encounters against the Kolkata giants, Mohun Bagan Super Giant (April 6) and East Bengal FC (April 10), would have to be played without spectators at the Jahawarlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.

The Shers have been forced to take this fan unfriendly decision due to a fire at the capital’s stadium on a non-matchday and with no current local fire department clearance, no fans can attend the last two ISL-10 home matches.

The club statement reads

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the upcoming two home matches of Punjab FC will be played behind closed doors. No spectators will be allowed for both the matches.
