Promoted Indian Super League side Punjab FC have announced the signing of defender Melroy Assisi until summer 2026.
23 year old Melroy Melwin Assisi, who was born in Dubai, came through the Mumbai FC youth system. He thereafter played for Bank of India, the Reliance Foundation Young Champs before joining Chennaiyin FC Reserves.
Thereafter he spend time with ARA FC, Real Kashmir FC Reserves and Hyderya Sports FC before returning to Chennaiyin FC.
The second half of the 2021/22 season, Melroy Assisi spend on loan with Rajasthan United FC and then signed permanently for them ahead of last season.
Now Melroy Assisi joins Punjab FC and will hope to prove himself in the upcoming ISL.
Melroy Assisi said, “I’m happy to be a part of Punjab FC. I won’t shy away from doing what I do best as and when given the chance and will embrace the “never say die” attitude on the pitch.”
