RB Leipzig defender Sanoussy Ba will join LASK on a year-long loan. The club finished third in the Austrian Bundesliga in 2022/23 and will be playing in the UEFA Europa League this coming season.
Ba joined the RBL academy as a 12-year-old in summer 2016 from SpVgg Bayern Hof. He featured for all of the club’s youth sides up to U-19 level before signing a professional contract in summer 2022 and breaking into the first team. His contract with RBL runs until 2025.
After making his debut in last summer’s friendly against Liverpool FC, the 19-year-old made his competitive debut for the Bulls in the first round of the DFB-Pokal against Teutonia Ottensen (8-0 win) on August 30, 2022. He featured in the 4-0 cup win against Hamburger SV, in addition to making his Bundesliga debut during a 3-1 win at Hoffenheim on November 3.
Sanoussy Ba is a current Germany U-19 international (2 games for the side) and is able to feature on both wings. The loan deal with LASK is meant to provide him with more regular playing time in order to help him take the next step in his development.
