RC Strasbourg sign Japan midfielder Yuito Suzuki!

RC Strasbourg have completed the signing of Japan’s youth international midfielder Yuito Suzuki on loan from Shimizu S-Pulse, with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Suzuki, who has represented his nation up to under-23 level is an attacking midfielder and winger who is leaves Japan just seven games shy of a century of senior professional performances despite only turning 21 in October.

Susziki’s compatriot, Strasbourg goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima, is a fan.

“He has great potential and already a lot of talent,” he said. “And he’s also a boy who has a very nice personality. I’m delighted with his arrival in Strasbourg and I’ll do my best to facilitate his adaptation.”

Suzuki could make his debut against Toulouse FC on Sunday, although he is unlikely to start until Wednesday’s trip to Stade Rennais FC at the earliest.

Suzuki is Strasbourg’s fourth signing of the winter transfer window, following Morgan Sanson, Frédéric Guilbert and Eduard Sobol.
