I-League side Real Kashmir FC have announced the signing of attacking midfielder Abhijit Sarkar for the 2022/23 season.
22 year old Kalyani-born Abhijit Sarkar was scouted and then placed at the AIFF Elite Academy and became a part of the India U-17 national team in preparations and during the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup hosted by India. Abhijit played for India against the USA and Colombia.
After tournament like most of his team mates, Abhijit Sarkar joined the India Arrows and had a successful season with them scoring four goals in 14 matches.
After these exploits, Abhijit Sarkar was signed by Chennaiyin FC on a long-term contract but mostly spend time away on loan with the Indian Arrows and East Bengal.
Last season, Abhijit Sarkar was part of Sudeva Delhi FC and now moves on to Real Kashmir FC.
