Sevilla FC to play Crystal Palace in Detroit pre-season friendly!

Sevilla FC will face Crystal Palace in a pre-season friendly on July 30 in the US city of Detroit.

The showpiece, organised by ‘313 Presents’, will take place at Comerica Park, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00h local time, 01:00 CEST in Spain.

Ticket sales will be announced shortly via this link, which will also have all information regarding the match and the venue.

The friendly will mark the return of international football to the baseball stadium after six years, with it marking the first match since AS Roma vs PSG in the 2017 International Champions Cup.

Sevilla FC President José Castro is pleased with this fixture, commenting that “while we remain focused on the rest of this season, knowing that we will play against a team like Crystal Palace is a great opportunity. I’m sure there will be a great atmosphere at Comerica Park. For Sevilla FC, we’re proud to visit Detroit and meet all the fans.”

Howard Handler, President of ‘313 Presents’, stated that “we are delighted that international football will be back at Comerica Park for a match between two elite teams. It’s a unique opportunity to see two big clubs in action.”

Crystal Palace are one of London and England’s traditional clubs. Led by ex-England manager Roy Hodgson, they are 12th in the Premier League and have players such as Marc Guehi, Jordan Ayew, Jeffrey Schlupp, Joachim Andersen and US international Chris Richards.

“It will be fantastic to play in the US again and do so against a prestigious side in Sevilla”, stated Steve Parish, Chairman of Crystal Palace.

This is the third confirmed pre-season match, and will mark the start of the clubs North American tour, with friendlies against Real Betis (August 2, Guadalajara) and Atlético de Madrid (August 5, San Francisco) taking place after our match against The Eagles.
