Soccerex & Aspire Zone Foundation sign partnership agreement for 2016 Asian Forum!

2016-soccerex-asian-forumSoccerex, the globally renowned football business event provider, has signed its first partnership agreement with Aspire Zone Foundation and its member organisations, Aspire Academy, Aspetar and Aspire Logistics, for the upcoming Asian Forum taking place in Doha from December 5-6.

The Asian Forum will offer insights into topics such as major event delivery, player performance and development and sports marketing from the football industry’s most senior figures. The Forum, taking place at the Grand Hyatt Doha, will gather over 1000 senior decision makers for two days of knowledge sharing, and business networking.

As part of this partnership, Aspire Academy and Aspetar will provide expert speakers to share their insights and expertise, on topics such as innovations in sports performance and best practice in injury prevention and recovery.

The new partnership with Soccerex is an extension of Aspire Zone Foundation’s ongoing efforts to support the Qatar National Vision 2030. To-date, the Foundation has hosted numerous major international events, including the 2011 AFC Asian Cup, as well as world-class training camps for top tier football clubs such as Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain. The Foundation is also home to one of Qatar’s oldest football stadiums and proposed host venue for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Khalifa International Stadium, which has seating capacity of 40,000.

Aspire Zone Foundation has three member organisations under its umbrella, all of which contribute to the development of sports in Qatar.

Aspire Academy is a sports academy that provides training and education to students with sporting potential in an exceptional learning and sporting environment. The Academy’s ultimate purpose is to develop well prepped and educated athletes to represent different Qatar national teams in international sports competitions and well educated leaders. Among its achievements, Aspire Academy has produced the entire Qatar U19 national squad that won the AFC U-19 Championship in 2014 and London 2012 bronze medallist and Rio 2016 Olympic silver-medallist Mutaz Barshim. In terms of education, the academy school has been accredited by the council of International Schools (CIS) and many of its graduates had a successful job careers as engineers, pilots, doctors and other fields.

Aspire Logistics promotes sports culture via its state-of-the-art facilities, events and local community initiatives. Aspire Logistics is one of the world’s foremost campuses for athletes in training and hosts global events, such as the 2016 FINA Airweave Swimming Championship, DOHA GOALS Conference, 2010 IAAF Indoor Athletics Championships, Annual FIG Artistic Gymnastics Series and the Fencing Grand Prix, to the highest international standards.

Aspetar, a world leading specialised orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital, is the first of its kind in the Middle East. Since its establishment in 2007, the hospital has provided top-level medical treatment to leading sports clubs, sports federations and athletes from Qatar and around the world in a state-of-the-art facility. Aspetar was awarded the ‘FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence by F-MARC in 2009 and “Platinum Level” by the Accreditation Canada International (ACI) in 2015.
