The young midfielder Soungoutou Magassa trained at AS Monaco is now linked to the Club of the Principality until summer 2027.
Born in Stains, Seine-Saint-Denis, Soungoutou Magassa joined the Academy in the summer of 2018 after having played for the Ile-de-France clubs of Sucy-en-Brie, Joinville, Saint-Maur as well as Paris 13 Atlético.
A trained midfielder, he signed his first professional contract in May 2021 before making his debut in an official match a few months later, during Monaco’s 3-1 win over Quevilly-Rouen in the French Cup. A member of the 2003 generation, Soungoutou made his Ligue 1 Uber Eats debut on August 13 against Stade Rennais (1-1) and recently played in the match against FC Nantes.
Regularly called up to the professional group by Philippe Clement, Soungoutou Magassa has also taken part in several Elite Group matches, including the latest one against Chelsea FC at the Performance Centre (3-2 victory). At the same time, the Academy-trained player was called up for the first time with the French U-20 team in September 2022. He has two caps for the French national team.

Soungoutou, who will be celebrating his fifth year at AS Monaco this summer, has been able to show his progress with the Elite group and also within the first team. He has adapted well to the demands of the professional group and is progressing daily in contact with experienced players. It is now up to Soungoutou to continue on the same path to further his evolution.”
Soungoutou Magassa said, “I am very happy to extend my contract at AS Monaco and I thank the Club for this mark of confidence. This season, I had the opportunity to continue my progression by fully integrating the professional group and by taking my first steps in Ligue 1. This is just the beginning and I intend to continue my efforts to learn, progress and help the team when the coach calls on me.”
