Innovative style and graphics, coupled with the important symbols of the history and tradition of the Shqiponjat: the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) and Macron have unveiled the new Home, Away and Third kits to be worn by the Albanian national team in the qualifying tournament for the European Championships 2024 in Germany. The debut appearance is set for Monday, March 27, when the side led by Sylvinho will face Poland in the first match of the Group E Qualifiers.
The double-headed eagle, which represents the identity of a people, their courage and valour, is the main graphic motif that characterises the national team’s new match kits. There is also a clear message of environmental sustainability: the kits are made entirely in Eco Fabric, obtained from 100% recycled plastic, underlining the green philosophy shared by Macron and FSHF.
The new “Home” shirt is red with a black polo shirt collar complete with three buttons. The sleeve cuffs and vertical side bands are also black. The backneck is customised with the FSHF logo, the Macron logo and the wording Designed in Bologna, certifying and highlighting how each garment is conceived, designed and developed at Macron headquarters in Bologna. The front and shoulders are characterised by a tone-on-tone geometric design surrounding the dye-sub print of the double-headed eagle. The Macron Hero logo is silicone printed on the right breast, with the logo of the Albanian Football Federation on the left. ALBANIA is embroidered in white on the back of the collar, on the outer collar band. The shirt hem is trimmed on the inside with a sweatband bearing the repeated inscription “Ti Shqipëri, më jep nder” (YouAlbania, give me honour), part of an Albanian national motto taken from a poem by Naim Frashëri. The home kit is completed by black shorts and black socks with a thin red stripe at the top.
The “Away” version is white with a black polo shirt collar featuring a thin red stripe, the same colour combination found on the sleeve cuffs and the vertical side bands. The graphic layout is the same as that of the first shirt, with a tone-on-tone geometric design and the double-headed eagle emblazoned on the front. This shirt, too, features the inscription “Ti Shqipëri, më jep nder” on the sweatband on the inside hem, and ALBANIA in black on the back of the collar. The shorts are white with a black drawstring and black side bands, while the white socks have a thin red stripe at the top.
Lastly, the “Third” shirt is all black with red details on the polo shirt collar, sleeve cuffs and thin red vertical side stripes. The Macron Hero logo and FSHF logo are both silicone printed in red on the chest. The tone-on-tone geometric design appears on the front of the shirt and on the sleeves, while the eagle, the Albanian national team’s symbol, is emblazoned in the centre. The black shorts feature a thin red stripe down the sides, matched by the red trim around the top of the socks, which are also black.
