Sporting Clube de Goa celebrated their annual grassroots festival on Saturday at the Don Bosco Ground in Panjim.
Sporting Clube de Goa along with its partner school Don Bosco High School has intensified their grassroots activity this year with an aim to reach out to maximum number of kids from the Panjim city and neighbouring areas.
About 110 kids from the partner schools and the vicinity gathered to participate in an elaborate football festival.
The agenda of this festival was to develop curiosity and to test certain football related aspects of the kids. The festival was divided into two half’s the morning half saw the kids switch stations attending practical workshops which was aimed at skill building and testing.
In the second half the kids played small sided games and were assisted by the coaches to implement the learning’s from the workshop conducted earlier. The kids will now attend their regular sessions weekly under the grassroots program which will run till the end of the season.
This year on wards Sporting Clube de Goa has also called for active involvement of parents in the grassroots activity. The club had conducted educational program for the parents and intents to do more such workshop round the year.
