Robert Royte also gave option for strengthening of existing Rajiv Gandhi Stadium so as to qualify under the AFC infrastructure criteria if suitable land is not available.

On the issue of the I-League and Indian Super League merger, the Minister advised Robert Royte to sit together with other I-League clubs and come up to him with a concrete proposal. On request of Mr. Royte, the Minister also promised to visit the Aizawl FC Academy complex during his upcoming visit to Mizoram in the upcoming month of June 2017.
