Sreenidi Deccan FC will play their first ever home match at the newly built Deccan Arena stadium in Hyderabad, taking on Manipur-based team Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU) in a I-League clash on Thursday, November 24. The match will kick off at 2pm IST.
Having recorded their first win of the season (3-2 against Churchill Brothers) last time out, Sreenidi Deccan FC would be aiming to inaugurate their new home with a win against TRAU. Head Coach Carlos Vaz Pinto and midfielder Mayakkannan addressed the media ahead of the game.
“It is always important to get three points and even more so away from home and against a strong team like Churchill Brothers as it gives the team confidence,” said Vaz Pinto. “Until Churchill Brothers scored their first goal, we not only controlled the game but dominated it. This is the type of football that we want to implement regardless of the opponent.”
“We are very excited and looking forward to our first ever home match,” said Mayakkannan. “TRAU are a very good team but as we are playing at home for the first time, we are aiming for all three points.”
