I-League newcomers Sreenidi Deccan FC have announced the signing of Ghana defender Mohammed Awal from Gokulam Kerala FC for the 2021/22 season.
33 year old Accra-born Mohammed Awal is a product of the West African Football Academy Sporting Club (formerly Feyenoord Rotterdam).
Mohammed Awal then went on to play ASEC Mimosas (loan), Asante Kotoko (twice), Maritzburg United, Al-Shabab, Raja Casablanca, Arsenal Tula, Al-Fahaheel, Al-Ansar, Wolkite City, and last season for Gokulam Kerala FC.
Mohammed Awal has played for Ghana’s national team in the Africa Cup of Nations and he was there in the Ghana FIFA World Cup qualification squad. He has also played international friendly matches for Ghana.
