Stuart Baxter’s Odisha FC get ready for NorthEast United FC clash!

The Kalinga Warriors, under the guidance of Head Coach Stuart Baxter, are all set for their next battle against NorthEast United FC on Tuesday evening. The team from Bhubaneswar has not been in the best of forms this season and will be looking forward to registering their first win of ISL-7 against the Guwahati-based side.

Pretty much like the encounter against FC Goa, Arshdeep Singh had a great outing against Bengaluru FC as well. In spite of the two goals scored by the Blues, the Odisha FC custodian put up a fantastic show in the posts. He will try to continue his form from the last two games on Tuesday and will have the support of experienced defenders Steven Taylor and Jacob Tratt at the back.

Taylor would be very confident after the last game where he found his first-ever ISL goal and along with Tratt, Shubham Sarangi and Hendry Antonay, he will try to put up a better defensive show than the previous encounter.

This will be a good test for them against the Gerard Nus-managed unit who have put up a good performance in the league so far this year. They have managed to secure two wins and four draws and have suffered just one defeat in the season so far. However, their only defeat of the season came in the last game against Jamshedpur FC on Friday and their aim will be to get the momentum back in their favour.

On the other hand, with Vinit Rai, Gaurav Bora and South Africa international Cole Alexander, Odisha FC have a midfield which is willing to put up a better show next time when they step up on the pitch especially with the formation Coach Baxter is starting in the two recent games.

Among the forwards, Manuel Onwu had found the back of the net against his former side last time around but unfortunately, he was ruled offside by the assistant referee. The Odisha FC coaching staff would want to get things on track as far as the preparations of the attacking trio of Onwu, Marcelinho and Diego Mauricio is concerned.

With an eye on all three points at stake in the next game, it is expected to be a high-voltage and cracking game of football to watch when the Kalinga Warriors take on the Highlanders at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim this Tuesday night.
