The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has confirmed that Syria will continue to play their home matches in Group A of the AFC Asian Qualifiers – Road to Qatar in a neutral venue.
Therefore, the upcoming Group A tie between Syria and South Korea on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, will be played in the United Arab Emirates.
The Taeguk Warriors currently occupy second place in Group A, while Syria will be looking to register their first victory in the campaign after the East Asians recorded a 2-1 victory over Syria when the two sides last met at the Ansan Wa Stadium on October 7, 2021.
The venues and kick-off times for the remaining AFC Asian Qualifiers – Road to Qatar matches not yet announced will be communicated in due course.
