Verona – One match, one day, one jersey. On April 8, against US Sassuolo Calcio, Hellas Verona will play to honour its 120-year history with a special jersey made by Macron Sports.
The idea of the club developed with Verona-based Studio Fantastico, was to produce jersey – made of Macron ECO technical fabric – in the very limited run of 500 pieces, including those that will be used by the team for the 6:30pm match at the Bentegodi, the culmination of the events dedicated to Hellas’ 120th anniversary.
THE SHOOTING
In the heart of Verona. The Liceo Classico Scipione Maffei – which stands in the historic center of Verona and has seen Hellas born among its benches – and the splendid castle of Castelvecchio – guardian of all the symbols and history to which Verona has always referred – have opened their doors to become the evocative stage for the shooting, photo and video, created by Studio Fantastico for Hellas Verona FC.
THE KIT
The design, simple but extremely identifiable, is a citation of both the first ever Hellas jersey in 1903, broken in half and black and white in color, and the later jerseys with the same design but in yellow-blue.
The jersey sponsors (Sinergy Luce e Gas, DR Automobiles, Drivalia, and Vetrocar) also played an important role in the creation of the kit, agreeing only on this occasion to change their colors to better complement the design.
There are so many details and references. Above all is the weave, composed of 120 mastiffs that make up the Club’s logo, as many as the years, a weave interrupted only at the 1984/85 season, where the Scudetto logo stands out with the words ‘Campioni d’Italia’.
And then the 1903-2023 label, embroidered in the lower right corner, a citation of the 1995/96 jersey, the first with the logo used until 2020.
The back of the collar, which has yellow-blue stripes edged in black, is enriched with the words ‘VERONA’ and a tricolor line, another reminder of the Scudetto victory.
Finally, the inside of the collar, which contains the limited edition number of the jersey and one of the iconic chants of the Gialloblù fans.
Completing the kit are the shorts and socks, both black with yellow-blue details and the Hellas 120 logo.
