UEFA, FIFA, football federations, world’s leading football clubs, international charity foundations, famous athletes, politicians, and artists support Football for Friendship. Over the last seven seasons, the programme has united over 6000 participants from 211 countries and regions and over 50,00,000 supporters.
This year, the F4F programme will be held in the online format due to the global pandemic outbreak and will be supported by the 2020 UEFA Champions League. Roberto Carlos, Real Madrid and Brazil Legend, World Cup winner and 3 times UEFA Champions League Winner is the Global Ambassador of Football for Friendship 2020. The special digital platform will unite over 10,000 players of all ages as Young Players and Young Coaches. The chosen representatives will spread awareness regarding nine values of the programme i.e., friendship, equality, fairness, health, peace, devotion, victory, traditions and honour. These players will also participate in the Football for Friendship International Children’s Forum online. They will have unique opportunities to find new friends from different countries, improve their football skills and find useful connections. They will also participate in the 2020 Football for Friendship e-World Championship (eF4F).
