Kolkata giants East Bengal Club are set to welcome back former head coach Trevor James Morgan for the upcoming 2016/17 season following his short stint at the end of last season for the final I-League game against Shillong Lajong FC and the Federation Cup ties against the same opponent.
Yesterday Trevor Morgan confirmed with his signature on a one year contract his return to the red and gold with the Kolkata giants set to revamp their squad in the new season in their bid for the I-League title.
In the 2015/16 season the club once again failed to live up to expectations under coach Biswajit Bhattacharya though they won the Calcutta Football League title once more, but they failed to challenge for the elusive I-League title, which forced the coach to resign.
The Kolkata Maidan giants will hope that Trevor Morgan brings back his magic with which the Englishman was quite successful with the red and gold, but he as well as the club would hope that this time around they would win the elusive I-League, which the club had last won in 2003/04 under the old avatar of National Football League.
