UMBRO and the Guatemalan National Team have presented the new Home and Away kits for the 2023/24 season.
Both kits pay homage to the culture of Guatemala and Huipils, usually made of two or three rectangular pieces of fabric. These are then held together with stitching, ribbons, or strips of fabric in a geometric design.
Styled in White, the Home jersey features a striking sash across the front which features the colours of the nation’s flag. Within the sash are graphics inspired by Mayan culture and designed to replicate how fabrics are stitched together on Huipils. Further details include an embroidered double diamond logo and Guatemalan National Team crest and trims popped in the colours of the national flag.
The Navy Away jersey also features the same sash design across the front. This is complemented by a trims in Blue and White. Both jerseys also feature a special sign-off on the back of the neck featuring “Guatemala”.
