A third game is added to Chelsea FC’s USA Tour 2024 with the announcement that Chelsea FC will play Celtic FC at Notre Dame Stadium in Indiana.
Two dates for Chelsea FC men’s team pre-season visit to the States had already been confirmed with matches against Wrexham AFC and Club America.
Joining those fixtures is Chelsea FC’s match-up against the Scottish champions Celtic FC which will take place on Saturday, July 27. Chelsea FC have played Celtic once previously on their USA tours, a 4-2 win for the Blues in 2004 in Seattle.
“The opportunity to play in front of our fans at the University of Notre Dame is one we are really excited by,” said Chelsea FC chief executive officer Chris Jurasek.
“This fixture against Celtic provides another fantastic contest during the club’s pre-season tour and will be valuable preparation for our 2024/25 Premier League campaign.”
The Notre Dame Stadium is one of the most iconic stadiums for college football in the USA.
