VfB Stuttgart exercise purchase option for Serhou Guirassy!

VfB Stuttgart have made use of the contractually stipulated purchase option for Serhou Guirassy and signed the attacker on a permanent deal, following his loan from French first division club Stade Rennes.

The 27-year-old’s contract is valid both for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 and will run until June 30, 2026. The Guinea international arrived at VfB on loan at the beginning of the season and scored 11 goals in 22 Bundesliga appearances.

VfB sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth said, “Serhou has demonstrated his qualities over the past few weeks and months, and it’s not only his goal return that’s impressive. It’s a good signal that we could reach an agreement with Serhou to continue working together.”

Guirassy said, “I’m happy all sides were able to come to an agreement. Now I’m focusing fully on the two promotion/relegation play-off games. I’ll do everything I can to make sure VfB play in the Bundesliga next season.”
