VfL Wolfsburg head coach Florian Kohfeldt out with COVID-19!

VfL Wolfsburg will have to do without Florian Kohfeldt for the next few days, after their head coach tested positive for COVID-19. After a member of his family tested positive, the head coach did a rapid test and then had a PCR test on Monday afternoon, both of which confirmed that he too was positive. The 39-year-old was already in home isolation and had not had any contact with the rest of the training staff or the team.

The training sessions are now being run by assistant coach Vincent Heilmann until further notice.

Frontzeck out for the rest of the season

Michael Frontzeck, who joined VfL Wolfsburg’s coaching staff at the start of the season, is currently unavailable. The former Bundesliga player has undergone surgery on his face, with the procedure going as planned. The healing process has also been a success, meaning that Frontzeck will be back on coaching duty in time for next season.
