VIDEO – XtraTime: Willis Plaza leaves Mohammedan Sporting without having played a match!

Yesterday Kolkata giants Mohammedan Sporting Club announced that Trinidad & Tobago striker Willis Deon Plaza and the club had decided to terminate the contract by mutual consent.

Interestingly at a press conference at the Mohammedan Sporting tent as footage from XtraTime shows, Willis Plaza had said that he was forced to terminate his contract due to international commitments for Trinidad & Tobago’s Soca Warriors, which would force him to miss a number of Second Division League games.

Interestingly later in the day yesterday the info came out that Plaza had signed for Churchill Brothers ahead of their final I-League match.

At Mohammedan Sporting, Plaza would now be replaced by former ATK and Chennaiyin FC striker Fikru Teferra Lemessa from Ethiopia, who is set to arrive in Kolkata next week.
