Watford FC name Ben Manga as their new Technical Director!

English Championship side Watford FC have confirmed the appointment of Ben Manga as its new Technical Director.

Spending six-and-a-half seasons at reigning UEFA Europa League champions Eintracht Frankfurt, Manga boasts an impressive background in recruitment, most recently serving as Director of Professional Football at the Waldstadion.

The 48-year-old also operated as Chief Scout for the Eagles, having spent successful periods at fellow Bundesliga sides 1899 Hoffenheim and VfB Stuttgart prior to joining Frankfurt – who won the DFB Pokal during his time at the club.

Helena Costa (pictured with Ben Manga) has also joined as Head of Scouting, while further appointments to Manga’s team are likely to follow.

Former Equatorial Guinea international midfielder Manga plied his trade in Germany as a player and moved into coaching and scouting following his on-pitch retirement.

Manga and his staff have begun work this week at the Hornets’ London Colney training ground.
