CAF has received correspondence from Sao Tome Football Federation indicating their intention to withdraw from the qualifiers for the TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2022.
Sao Tome played in the first leg of the first round of the qualifiers last Friday (22 October 2021) against Togo and lost 5-0.
The return leg was scheduled for Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Stade de Kegué in Lomé, Togo.
This match has since been cancelled. Togo will automatically qualify for the second round of the qualifiers.
