As XtraTime reports from Kolkata, league toppers Peerless SC scored a 2-0 win over George Telegraph SC in the Calcutta Football League – Premier Division ‘A’.
Peerless SC were close to a historic first-ever Calcutta Football League title, but despite scoring a win in their own game, the match of their biggest rivals East Bengal Club was abandoned due to water logging at the East Bengal Ground.
But still there were celebrations in the Peerless SC camp post-match after an incredible season.
