As XtraTime reports, SC East Bengal’s German midfielder Matti Steinmann was one of the new bright spots of their inaugural ISL campaign.
Besides being a steady performer on the field, the 26-year old over the ISL-7 season carried out a very noble cause. He ran the #MattiRunsForWater crowd funding campaign on betterplace.org to help German charity Viva con Agua providing fresh drinking water in India.
For every kilometre that he ran this ISL campaign, the former Germany U-20 international donated €10 besides others being able to donate. Now Steinmann has announced that a grand total of 2.402,25 € have come together.
